The Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) has evolved to become the National Healthcare Preparedness Program (NHPP), which has brought with it a strategy of uniting preparedness efforts regionally for the region's healthcare providers with those in Public Health and Emergency Management. Healthcare Coalitions bring together healthcare providers with public health departments and emergency management agencies in preparedness, but where do they fit in the National Incident Management System (NIMS). Are they a operations/coordination center as outlined in NIMS 3.0? Would they fall under the newly coined Center Management System (CMS)?
