MARKET REACH
INFRASTRUCTUREThe Northwest Seaport Alliance offers unparalleled market access for breakbulk
and project cargo.
We have multiple RO/RO, Liner, LO/LO, and Barge connections to Asia, Europe, South
America,Australia, New Zealand,Alaska and Hawaii. Our terminals are well situated for
the booming regional construction market, and we offer over dimensional rail and highway
connections to the Pacific Northwest,Western Canada, and the US Midwest.
Our terminals are located in both Tacoma and Seattle, and offer multiple
deep water berths, 4-5 hours from the Pacific Ocean with no tidal delays
for ships.
We are served by both BNSF and Union Pacific railroads, with heavy lift
on-dock rail capacity for direct discharge from vessels to rail. Covered
storage, and laydown acreage for projects are available.
The NWSA is committed to making our gateway the most efficient and easiest gateway for your
cargo. An established Operations Service Center has staff experienced in breakbulk operations.
We offer extensive support services for high & heavy cargo including experienced stevedores, labor,
equipment, pilots, agents, lashing services, tug services, bunkering, on terminal fumigation, and
other maritime support resources.
