Catia V5 is a widely used computer-aided design (CAD) software suite
developed by Dassault Systems. It is particularly popular in the
aerospace and automotive industries, although it finds applications in
various other sectors as well.
CATIA OVERVIEW

KEY FEATURES AND ASPECTS OF CATIA V5:
 Multi-disciplinary Design: Catia V5 supports a wide range of design disciplines, including product
design, industrial design, mechanical engineering, and systems engineering.
 Part Design: It allows users to create and modify 3D parts, using tools for sketching, feature-
based modeling, and parametric design.
 Assembly Design: Users can assemble multiple parts into complex assemblies, perform
interference checks, and analyze the relationships between components.
 Generative Shape Design: This module is focused on creating and modifying freeform surfaces,
which is especially useful for creating complex and organic shapes.
 Drafting and Documentation: Catia V5 includes tools for creating 2D drawings, complete with
