Opening young minds to the travel industry
Julie Murphy, senior director of Sales, Asia
Pacific is never too shy speaking to a
classroom of students about the travel
industry. After all, she’s been giving regular
career talks for the past four years.
On 18 March 2014, Julie was at the Australian
International School in Hong Kong to give a
snap-shot of corporate travel management to
senior students. She also described the different roles and function that students can explore as part
of their career in this industry.
“The students asked many questions which showed their keen interest about the travel industry. I’m
delighted to see them engaged and their eagerness to find out more,” said Julie. “Such speaking
opportunities not only allow me to showcase our brand to future leaders, it’s also my way of giving
back to the community.”
