1. Q1: In what way does your media product use, develop
or challenge forms and conventions in real media
products?
2. People with mental illness have reportedly been falsely prosecuted/targeted
by the police. In some cases, this has resulted in their death.
Challenging the forms and conventions.
Our film challenges this representation in the media by having
a character with mental illness work as a police officer. Mentally
ill people are usually labelled as the evil ones in society, and to
have one as a hero in the piece challenges the media’s view.
3. Using the forms and conventions.
We used the media stereotype of corrupt law enforcement in
our final piece. This follows the view that society has on law
