1. Wood Group PSN: Project Accounting & Variance Improvement (6 months)
Wood Group PSN tasked Finance with taking ownership of about 40 separate project
budgets in order to improve project accounting and reduce variances. As Finance
Manager, led this project. Formulated a plan for handling project budgeting; implemented
and trained staff on a budget database; developed and documented project budgeting
processes; initiated ongoing reviews with budget stakeholders; and defined clear
deadlines for budgeting processes. Succeeded in strengthening project accounting and
minimising budget variances.
