Lead Mechanic

A firefighter with the Elizabeth Fire Department since 2017, John Syers responds to emergency calls and provides medical care and other emergency services, in addition to maintaining various types of firefighting equipment and vehicles. John Syers also holds responsibilities as a hazmat technician and an emergency medical technician (EMT). Since 2020, Mr. Syers has also worked as lead mechanic with Tantum Tree Removal, a family-owned company that offers residential and commercial tree removal, tree trimming, and land clearing services. In this capacity, he contributes to daily operations by performing repairs on multiple forestry construction machines.
