- 2. Check it out! "Sudsy" woke up with a swollen elbow... What could be the problem? The elbow swelling, which grew rapidly during the morning, wasn't painful, but Sudsy wanted it gone. It was a quick process to numb Sudsy's elbow, and remove a quantity of straw colored fluid from the swollen elbow, before injecting cortisone into the area.
