2. Termite Reports are required:
If Written Into A
Purchase Contract
 It may be removed from the contract with
the following verbiage on an Addendum:
“The termite report and clearance to be removed from
the purchase contract.”

3. Termite Reports are required:
On VA loans
 Section I is required, but Section II may
be required if it can lead to infestation
(underwriter discretion)

4. Termite Reports are required:
If Called For By The
Appraiser Or Underwriter
 In some situations, the appraiser or
underwriter may call for a termite report
and clearance if a house has an
excessive amount of visible dry rot,
obvious infestation, etc.

5. When A Termite Report Is A Part
Of The Transaction
 Section I clearance is required, but
Section II may be required if it can lead to
infestation (underwriter discretion)
 If further inspection is mentioned in the
report, a re-inspection may be required to
determine no active infestation and to
confirm structural soundness
