Joe Rizzi graduated from Ohio University in Athens and is now a resident of Oregon. He started his career with his family’s company, Joe Rizzi & Son’s Construction, Inc. in Pennsylvania, where he worked with county commissions and city councils, developed budgets, and managed projects. He has spent eight years as an emergency manager in Oregon. Mr. Rizzi has managed stressful, real-world events with the Emergency Coordination Center. He has designed and implemented numerous exercises to address hazard response and prevention, and trained other public services such as police, public works, hospitals, and utility companies in regards to the National Incident Management System.
