Memorandum

Subject: Captain Crispen
Sir,
On Tuesday March 13, President Obama visited Dayton, Ohio. A Temporary Flight
Restriction (TFR) was put into place.
Columbus, OH Tracon was the terminal facility responsible to monitor and enforce the
TFR.
Captain Crispen was assigned as the ABM for the visit. He coordinated far in advance and
advised when he was in Columbus. He came to the facility early on the day of the visit to
familiarize himself with the operation. Captain Crispen was very attentive and eager to
learn.
Captain Crispen was advised to show up later in the day to get a final brief and prepare for
the TFR.
Captain Crispen conducted himself in a very professional way. He is a quick study and
performed his task flawlessly. Over five hours he never left his position.
It is truly my honor to set next to and work with a young man of his caliber.
2. Thank you for supervising a troop like Captain Crispen. He represented you, the FAA, and
above all, the United States Air Force in an outstanding manner. You can assign him here
ANYTIME!
Sincerely,
Rolland A Kanavel
