HELPING EVERY WOMEN BRING OUT HER INNER ATHLETE
As a woman trying to live a healthier and more active lifestyle, the right athletic
shoes can be the right key to success. What better way to make sure you are taking
care of yourself than making the same choices as athletes? High-end shoe and
athletic wear company Zoomer is changing it’s name to Athlete’s Choice, as a part of
their year-long multi-million dollar re-branding plan.
Along with the name change, the re-branding plan includes change of signage,
stationery, point-of-sale material and packaging. The purpose is to consolidate all 32
brands affected by the name change. The company sells their products in high-end
athletic retailers, better department stores, some specialty sports stores and is
considering expanding into discount stores.
Jeffrey Zoomer, president of Athlete’s Choice, has been instrumental in getting the
company to its current success. As a former University of Georgia student and
former NFL player, Zoomer has used his real world experience to build an empire
for his wife and twin daughters. Zoomer’s daughters, who are current University of
Georgia students, hope to one-day join dad in the family business. “We want
everyone to make smart choices for their athletic gear, just like when they athlete’s
make their choices” Zoomer said.
Athlete’s Choice was founded in 1974. Athlete’s Choice prides itself on its business
practices and successes, such as going public on the NYSE and acquiring eight different
subsidiaries. Athlete’s Choice also prides itself on acting ethically in their
manufacturing plants in Third-World nations unlike some of their major competitors.
Athlete’s Choice’s mission is to make everyone feel like an athlete…. all the way down
to the feet.
