Iguanas live in the canopy and understory layers of the rainforest, where they crawl through the trees eating insects, leaves, flowers, and fruit. They are preyed upon by jungle cats, birds, turtles, fish, boa constrictors, caimans, hawks and eagles. Female iguanas lay their eggs and leave without raising their young.
