They say that passion and purpose go hand in hand; when you discover your purpose, you will normally find it’s something
you’re tremendously passionate about. For me, that burning passion is art. Recently, I have developed a new found love
for photography. In my point of view, photography is not about capturing pictures, rather, moments. Each photograph
contains more than just what is visible on the shiny, smooth surface. They hold memories, stories, emotions and secrets,
all waiting to be discovered. It is this precious, ever-lasting beauty that I immerse myself into as I wield a camera and
capture those fleeting moments.

Art comes as naturally to me as speech. I can’t say it comes effortlessly, as a lot of thought goes into making a painting
what it is. Just the way I lose myself in art, I tend to immerse myself while dancing the Indian Classical Dance as well. Not
only have I managed to keep practicing the dance form for ten years but also have managed to link the fine arts to the
performing arts. Combining the two forms has created a channel for all my expressions.

Photography is the way of feeling and loving everything with just your eyes. It is graphic imagination that reflects reality.
My reality. For me, photographs are about the little things, the fleeting moments and the hidden wonders. It extends my
vision into the realms of the invisible; life that is too fast for the eye to see. Every shot is filled with perspective and that
is the very aim; to convey emotions, sights, even sounds through a different perspective. My photographs represent the
“just before”; the walk before the run and the breath before the phrase. The after is up to you.

Although I am not a visual arts student, I’ve always loved art and photography. My inspiration for most of the paintings
would primarily be the beauty of nature, innocence, and many great artists. Apart from art, I have learned Indian Classical
Dance, Bharatanatyam, for twelve years and I have completed my Arangetram at the age of 13.
