WARM Slideshow 2016 - rolling

Editor's Notes

  1. Thank you Introduction who you are why you serve with WARM Pole: How many have heard of WARM before?
  2. Our work is focused on making the home safer to prevent accidents and illness – preventing deaths, preventing trips to the ER, and disabilities caused by falls.
  3. According to studies by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Commission on to Build a Healthier America.
  4. Homeownership makes them ineligible for other types of aid. We get the folks who would otherwise fall through the cracks. They find out about WARM through other agencies (Senior Center, DSS, disAbility Resource Center), they see us on TV or in the newspaper, or they see a WARM sign in their neighbor’s yard.
  5. WARM is a mission of volunteer efforts. Our staff’s role is to help match people of compassion with meaningful service opportunities, to get you involved hands-on in the way that best fits your skills and interests. Volunteers complete the home repair projects and they also do everything from office work to event planning, from marketing to bringing snacks to work teams. We would love to talk to you about where you might fit in.

  10. Recently, our board of directors made strategic efforts to grow the organization in response to the overwhelming need. God has blessed these results, helping WARM grow by leaps and bounds in the toughest economy in our lifetime.
  11. Sometimes the difference WARM makes is a benefit to the entire community.
