The Spektrum Dx6i has features that you just can not find on a lot of the lower quality RC
Transmitters and is with out a doubt the lowest grade I would start with. This will provide you
with the control you need to skip a ton of ‘needed upgrades’ and allow you to expand your
horizons into some fairly high end RC units. This transmitter comes with 10 programmable
memory that will allow you to purchase different RC units and run them all from the same
transmitter allowing you to control multiple aircraft and a wide assortment units available without
having to buy another transmitter.
I can tell you that being able to program in your own parameters is really really cool. This
feature can change the way your RC unit will fly and work…. all for the best. Not only that but
depending on what you are flying (Heli, Plane, or ‘Other’) you can switch to those settings in
the unit or look up the preferred settings that people post online.
The one thing I do have an issue with is the instructions manual. It just isn’t as user friendly as I
would like. Of course I struggle to put two brain cells together at times. I have found some great
E-Books online that really explained things so that a child (or in this case me) could program up
this transmitter.
I suggest that if you are learning to fly an RC Helicopter that you start with this unit and make
sure you check out the Phoenix R/C Pro Simulator. This will REALLY allow you to get a great
grasp of how good this transmitter is while keeping all of your Helicopters safe from unneeded
crashes.
This RC Controller has some amazing qualities and features that I highly suggest you take a
good long look at. The truth is you could EASILY pay a ton more for an RC transmitter that just
doesn’t get the job done.

This is the perfect balance between price (value) and functions. A great starter transmitter that
will really allow you to bypass a TON of stuff out there that is just crap and a waste of your
money.
