JAMES M. PIMENTEL
(503) 984 - 2724 | JMWP91@GMAIL.COM | WWW.LINKEDIN.COM/IN/JAMESMWPIMENTEL
PROFILE
YOUTH: I was born in Weiser, Idaho in 1991 and in 2003 I was adopted and moved to Jacksonville,
Florida. I spent the next 6 years (age 13 until 18) learning how to be a functional, productive man in
today’s world. My father taught me some basic carpentry such as putting up drywall, laying marble/
hardwood/tile flooring, lighting/electrical outlet installation, insulation, interior/exterior painting, and
other useful construction based skills. When I turned 16 I got my drivers license and immediately began
working. I occupied nearly every position at two local groceries, finally ending as a day shift assistant
manager. I joined the military when I graduated high school in 2009.
ADULT YEARS: I have five years of experience in the United States Army serving as a Military
Intelligence Analyst. I was deployed to Iraq in August 2010 in support of Operation New Dawn. During
my tour I was assigned to the Squadron's Intelligence shop where I performed duties which directly lead
to the capture of over fourteen enemy combatants. My skills as an Analyst allowed me to receive multiple
combat and non-combat awards, and eventually led to my promotion to Specialist (E-4) on August 1,
2011. My contract ended in October 2014 when I was given an honorable discharge.
CURRENT: After I left the service I moved to Hubbard, Oregon in order to be closer to family. I
started work as a car detailer almost immediately and worked there for the next seven months. I left
my job because I wanted to spend the summer traveling the country, something I've always wanted to
do.
