Friends pay respects to Annie at Holy Trinity Church
1. Our dear friend Annie was laid to rest yesterday.
Masonhill Crematorium at 1:15pm Ayr.{Thursday 1st September}
Angie paid our respects. {I could not make it as was at work.}
But i will be paying my respects on Saturday. {3rd september}
Where we both met Annie for the first time. At Holy Trinity Church. Away back late 2009.
Thats where i will met my dear friends as well, So i will not be alone there.
C.A.P. { Christians Against Poverty } Who help people in Debt outwidth there control.
They have centres North and South of the border. But HQ is down in England.
Annie helped many many people in her time at her HQ at Holy Trinity Church.
We are both still very much involed with C.A.P.
But mainly Angie, And i give support when i can.
It was never an easy road when there was zero to next to no work back in 2009.
When the recession took its hold. I lost my job. My my main income. Anything left was to pay
what small debts we could, But.
Worse was to come. As we where together. We could not pay anything else.
But thanks to my Contracts manager back then, Who did what he could, temp work.
I met an old friend who listend to me. From there we eventully met Annie after a few meetings
we eventully went to Holy Trinity Church. These where not easy meetings at all, But had to be
done. From there, We never looked back. Angie became very close to Annie.
For myself i made long trips to Holy Trinity Church to meet new friends, And meet some others
in dire need. To help out or to listen to.
For me, It was not an easy one, I was in and out of work. And being treated like rubbish at the
Job centre did not help much. {Not my fault there was no work out there}
I was in top flight of work before the recession took hold, Im sure it was late 2008 or the the
start of 2009 i lost my job? But i was first to go. I respect that.
I was with Rolland Decorators for a good 4 and 3 years after that. And i was very much
respected and trusted to hold and run jobs when called. A great thanks to my friends there, It
was not an easy start at Rollands, All alone. But i learned from the very best to rebuild my
career.
2. Thankfully myself and Angie have steady jobs fot the past 4 years. And never looked back.
It was not an easy trip to get where we are without the help and support.
For myself i work at: G&V Royal Mile Hotel Edinburgh { Formerly known as: Missoni Hotel}
You can say, It's good to be back where i belong.
Myself i finally quit from the Construction and Painting trade to re-join the Hotel trade once
again after a spending 7 long years before joining Rollands in the big time. {rebuilding}
To be with the best, You work and learn from the best. That i did.
And i still have a story to tell as yet. To hell and back.
Annie { Margaret Anne Lawaon} And her Husband Neil Conn.
i will meet up with Neil on Saturday at some point.
Both our thoughts go to Neil and family and friends who met Annie.
