What is software testing? For me, it is about two main fundamentals. One is a skill, the other is an attitude. The skill? I think problem solving is the biggest skill a tester needs. Most of what we do is trying to solve problems: how are we going to test this application being the biggest we face every day. No one project or application is the same, and each has its own problems and challenges to be faced and solved. The attitude? To realise that testers are in a service industry and should endeavour to provide the best service to their customers that they can. Who are our customers?
