First week • Connect with a colleague. • Exchange ideas and implement one of the indicators together. First Month • Lead a collaborative learning improvement team. • Hold a monthly sharing session. • Team up to mentor colleagues who are willing to experiment. Six Months • Present at an edtech conference or blog about the changes you’ve made. • Share your knowledge with leaders and other educators in your district. • Consider how you can further empower your students in their learning. One Year

ISTE supports and encourages educators to use the standards to meet your visions, goals and local priorities. • However educational decision-makers at any level (schools, districts, states, territories, nations and educator preparation programs) use the standards to guide their work, ISTE considers that policy as an adoption of the ISTE Standards. • Systems may adopt wholesale, modify wording, or reference in policy documents.
