2. About HOPE - Worldwide
HOPE Worldwide is a non-profit worldwide charitable organization, established in the United States,
in response to the Biblical Scriptures, which encourages us to have the heart of Jesus serving the poor
and the needy.
We started in 1991 with three small local projects. Nowadays HOPE Worldwide has operated in 70
countries.
HOPE Worldwide BRASIL was founded on May 21, 1994, in the city of São Paulo.
3. Previous experiences
Since its foundation, HOPE Worldwide Brasil has contributed for the education of
hundreds of young people and adults.
Several educational activities have also been developed in vulnerable
communities attending to about 500 children.
More recent Projects in 2014 and 2015:

4. Project Purpose
Project Purpose
We are proposing a project called Crea, to operate in the comprehensive
education of children in social vulnerability condition, nourishing them and their
families values, so contributing for their education as citizens and the
perception of their transforming potential.
Education in Brazil faces a chronic challenge in education.
Research from Household Sampling has reported that the illiteracy rate for people over 10
years , was estimated at 9%, which corresponds to the contingent of, approximately, 13
million illiterates.

It promotes the accomplishment of the school assignments and it is the moment for answering questions and strengthening the
knowledge acquired at school
Sensitize, through the visual arts, such as drawings, sculptures, paintings and handcrafts, for the self development
It provides a moment of dynamics and games to live out values. A moment of reflection and fun aiming the construction of
values and of resources for their choice.

Target audience: Students enrolled in the public school, out of step in literacy or who present
partial or total difficulty with the reading and writing skills.
Agenda: Saturdays in the morning (4 hours)
Professionals: One teacher and one trainee, under the supervision of a pedagogical coordinator
7. Development – School of Parents
What School of Parents is – It aims to strengthen the family ties through
the psicological family counseling, to provide support and guidance, to promote the involvement of the
parents in the school life of their children, in this way, it helps the development of the children and it
supports the work developed by teachers.

8. Development - Health (Drug addict prevention)
What is drug addict Prevention?
Our focus is to strengthen the family as a multiplying agent in the prevention strategies.
●Awareness lectures;
●Individualized attendance;
●Training those who live with the drug addict (members of the family).
Target audience: Parents of students and students enrolled in public school, who take part in the
school tutoring.
Agenda: 2 biannual meetings of 2 hours.
Professionals: One psychologist and one assistant
Health In this first year the focus of this pillar will center the drug use and abuse
prevention.
