At Hidden Stars School, we understand that team-building activities are essential for the
successful development of pupils. Our primary and pre-primary school in Guntur, India has
developed a unique range of activities designed to bring out the best in our students. We've
compiled a list of our top 10 team building activities, which have been designed to foster
cooperation, cooperation and communication among your students:
1. Team Quizzes – Divide the group into teams and set a series of questions for them to
answer together in order to reach a conclusion. This is an excellent way to encourage
collaboration and problem solving skills as well as developing teamwork dynamics
amongst the group.
2. The Great Egg Drop – A classic team building activity, the eggdrop challenge requires
students to work together to create a contraption that can protect an egg when dropped
from a height. This promotes creativity and builds problem solving skills as well as
strengthening the bond between team members.
3. Human Knots – Get the group to stand in a circle, with each student holding hands with
two others in the circle. The aim is to un-knot themselves without any of them letting go
of each other’s hands. This activity teaches patience and encourages cooperation as well
as being great fun!
4. Blindfolded Obstacle Course – Divide the group into teams and give each player a
blindfold. Set up an obstacle course and get the team to guide the blindfolded players
through it. This activity requires strong communication skills as well as trust between
team members.
5. Whispers – Give each student in the group a piece of paper with some instructions
written on it, which they must whisper to the person next to them and so forth until
everyone has heard the message. The aim is for the final person to read out the
instructions correctly. This game teaches listening skills and builds trust between team
members.
6. Find the Match – Put a set of objects in front of the group, each with its own pair. The
teams have to work together to find all of the matches before time runs out. This
encourages collaboration as well as problem solving and memory skills.
7. Tower Building – Give each team a set of materials (such as cardboard, tape, etc.) and
get them to work together to build the tallest tower possible. This activity teaches creative
thinking, cooperation and collaboration in order to achieve success.
8. Bridge Building – Provide the group with a set of materials (such as straws, tape, etc.)
and get them to construct a bridge that can stand up on its own. This activity encourages
problem solving skills as well as teamwork dynamics between the group members.
9. The Tower Challenge – Divide the group into teams of three or four and give each team
a set of materials (such as paper, scissors, tape, etc). The aim is to build the tallest tower
possible using only these materials. This challenges team members to think creatively
and work together in order to reach a successful outcome.
