Characters In crime/thriller and film noir
Investigator ,[object Object],A good example might include the investigator from “An inspector calls” in 1954, when he proves how a family have jointly caused a women’s suicide and acts as their conscience.
Femme fatale ,[object Object],Janet Leigh plays the role of a femme fatale in “Psycho”1960. As she steals money, has an affair, then gets murdered for being attractive.
The Villain ,[object Object],Heath Ledger plays the role of “The joker” in the Dark Knight 2008. He commits many crimes and shows no remorse.
The Hero The hero usually lasts until the end of the film and can be the main focus, he/she can sometimes be mis-represented and seen as a bad person, but in the end usually gets the respect they deserve. They come up against the villain and ‘save the day’. Spiderman does good for everyone, but the city begins to get annoyed at him, as they think he does more wrong than right, especially when he has a villain dressed just like him, but black.
