Why I chosethis text
• Although this is a focus on big musicians whereas
I want to focus on upcoming ones, I feel that it
has interesting and educative points of focus.
• There are also lots of shot types that are good at
making the iconic artists seem much more down-
to-earth and realistic, rather than how the are
usually represented (at huge concerts etc.)

I can use all of these things in my documentary,
and make them link to my issue of attempting to
get big through social media as a young artist.
The ‘influences’ part will also be important to
include as it involves intertextuality, and adds
informative content.

Shot Types
A shotlike this would be great to
establish the musician, and make
the audience aware of their
upbringing / surroundings without
explicitly mentioning it. This is
flattering to the culturally-informed
audience. Also a good chance to
show wide mix of shot types.
A good dynamic shot - unique
shot type, as his background is
moving. Also makes the
interaction more intimate - the
audience is following the
individual on their journey.
