About
Big data needs to be respected. It offers the potential to free knowledge pools previously controlled by the powerful few. But it can also be, is being and will be used by those powerful to maintain that control.
Cautiously optimistic about the dataclysm, I fight for a big data future committed to transparency and equality and grounded in compassion. Fresh off finishing a PhD in math, I'm engaging with data science, data ethics and data people through meet-ups, online courses, books and projects. I'm always looking to connect with other data-curious people. Let's talk!
