 Title:-Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analysis of Globe valve & Y type strainer using
CATIA & ANSYS Software.
 A globe valve is a type of valve used for regulating flow of fluid (steam, liquid) in pipeline
which is first modeled in CATIA or PRO/E which are excellent CAD software. This design after
modeling are solidify its flow path or redraw its flow path model in CATIA & converted into
IGES or step file format.
 Then By exporting this files into Analysis software Ansys CFX. Assembly is analyzed in CFD in
Pre-processing, Postprocessor. Model flow path import, Mesh into discrete cells, Boundary
conditions inlet, outlet defined and finally simulation started in software and transient problems,
equations are solved iteratively as a steady state or transient.
 Parameters Analyses are: 1)Flow coefficient designing factor(K or Cv), 2)Pressure drop (P), 3)
flow Pattern(flow rate)
 Total pressure counter, flow pattern for velocity stream line, Pressure drop value Graph are
obtained.
 This is for 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100% opening of globe valve models Analysis by using
CATIA, Ansys software. Application in Aerodynamic shape design.
 Given Project is sponsored & Performed in Uni Klinger Ltd. Company Ahmednagar an ISO
CERTIFIED.
Software handling skills is best. CATIA, Auto-cad, Ansys, MASTER CAM, Por/e in college level.
Participated in the faculty developed programme on Finite Element Analysis And Computational Fluid
Dynamics conducted KSOEPune.
