MosquitNo started its activities in 2009 and has since become an innovative brand with a stylish and fresh look. Our product range has become a distinctive concept with a new look at products that offer protection against mosquitoes and other insects - this is applicable for our polo and placemat, as you may know for the bracelets and spotzzz we cannot make such claims. Protecting our skin from biting mosquitoes previously meant using sticky lubricants including the toxic substance DEET. MosquitNo thought ‘this can be done with more fun and functionality’. Our concept and products are a new way of trendy, fashionable and comfortable protection against mosquitoes and other insects. MosquitNo triangle concept: fun, functionality and charity, all products have fun and functional elements and we have an easy giving concept for Unicef, this means we aim to contribute 10% of our net profit to Unicef.

Company Background
Protecting our skin from biting mosquitoes previously
meant using sticky lubricants including the toxic
substance DEET.
MosquitNo thought ‘this can be done with more fun
and functionality’ skin or clothing sticks.
MosquitNo is well known from the trendy bracelet for
mosquitoes to keep bad bugs away and has

Insect Repellent products records stable growth of 8% in current
terms, reaching sales of CNY 7.1 billion in 2014.
Health-conscious and convenience-orientated consumers, together
with innovative products, boost the development of insect
repellent products in 2014, especially liquid repellents
Average unit prices of all home and personal insect repellent product
types increase in current terms in 2014.
Home and personal insect repellents set to grow at a stable constant
value CAGR of 3% over the forecast period, reaching sales of CNY8.1
billion in 2019.
Health-conscious and convenience orientated
Health-conscious and convenience-orientated consumers, together with
innovative products, jointly boosted the development of more natural
and non toxic insect repellents in in 2014, especially non harmful
insect repellent. Supported by increasing product knowledge,
consumers were becoming more sensitive about the chemical residues
that insect repellent products might produce, especially young
parents, according to trade sources. In addition, they
were increasingly looking for convenience. This convenience and
innovation successfully attracted consumers and resulted in healthy

Stable current value growth
Insect Repellent products recorded stable current value growth of 8% in
2014, which was slightly lower than in the previous year. On the one
hand, most insect repellents, such as coils and spray/aerosol
insect repellents, had already reached a high degree of maturity.
On the other hand, stable consumer demand, especially in the summer,
along with the further penetration of liquid insect repellents gave
home insect repellent products new growth momentum. As a result,
home insect repellent products recorded stable growth in 2014, despite
coming from a large base

The average unit prices of all insect repellents product types grew in
current terms in 2014, mainly thanks to consumers’ low price sensitivity
due to infrequent purchases, and to a general trading up to more-
expensive less-harmful insect repellent products.

To become increasing popular
Smart and non harmful insect repellents are set to become increasing
popular over the forecast period. Firstly, the popularity of small-area
commodity housing, which fits in better with the use of smart and
functional insect repellents. Secondly, the increasing sensibilities of
consumers towards excessive amounts of chemical ingredients, with
the fact that liquid insect repellents contain more-natural insecticidal
ingredients, such as, citronella, lemon grass, wormwood and mint,
further support their increasing popularity.

Compare to the review period, home and personal insect repellents are
expected to record a slight lower but still healthy constant value CAGR
of 3% over the forecast period. The strong growth momentum from
the increasing popularity of personal insect repellent products will
support a positive performance from home insecticides, which is

Price competition
Price competition within home & personal insect repellents is set to be
moderate over the forecast period; all product categories are set to

9. ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
EFFICACYONMOSQUITOES
The efficacy against an Anopheles-species (Mosquitoes) was
monitored over a time period of 10h. The best protection
was achieved with DEET and particularly with Saltidin®
. Even
after 10h, the efficacy of the Saltidin®
-solution was still at a
level of 99%. During this time frame, no loss of efficacy was
observed for Saltidin®
, in contrast especially to IR3535®
(Fig.
1).
A superior performance of Saltidin®
was also found when
comparing the average repellency over all concentrations,
which was 10 percentage points above that of DEET and
nearly 20 percentage points above that of IR3535®

The anopheles mosquitoe is a common carrier of Malaria and
Dengue Fever. This breed of mosquitoe is more prevalent
