Action Against Hunger (ACF International) was founded in 1979 by a group of French scientists and doctors in response to famines in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Uganda, and Thailand. Their mission is to save lives by preventing and detecting malnutrition, especially in areas impacted by war or hardship. They work to transform places suffering from malnutrition into self-sustaining communities with food security.

2. Founders
 The founders were a group of French scientists and
doctors in 1979, with a man named Alfred Kastler
serving as the first chairman of the organization
 ACF was originally founded as a response to
famine-stricken people in Afghanistan, Pakistan,
Uganda and Thailand.
 It then expanded to countries in and around Africa,
The Middle East and elsewhere.

3. Their Mission
• The say that their mission is to save lives by the
prevention and detection of malnutrition, especially
after war times and other hardships
• They believe in a world without hunger, so they do
whatever possible to turn a place with malnutrition
into a sustainable life source.
