Jeera prices rose by Rs 75 to Rs 14,040 per quintal in futures trading today as

 Turmeric plunges 2 pc as NCDEX slaps additional margin:
Turmeric prices fell by over 2 per cent to Rs 4,118 per quintal in futures trade
today after the authorities imposed margin on long and short side of contracts
amid profit-booking by speculators.
 Spices rise; turmeric up on likely drop in acreage:
Turmeric futures in India gained on Wednesday as farmers in the major growing
regions are expected to cut the area under cultivation because of unattractive
prices.
