Enquirica Research – BP Predicts China to Surpass US Oil Consumption by
2030

In its “Energy Outlook 2030” BP predicts that China will be the largest source of oil
consumption growth over the next 20 years – increasing consumption by 8m barrels per
day to 17.5m barrels per day – overtaking the US as the world’s biggest oil consumer.
According to the report, global energy consumption will be driven by developing nations,
accounting for 93% of global energy growth over the next 20 years.
