Enitan Ekwotafia opted to seek one of the few scholarship offers he received to continue playing soccer at a few smaller colleges. Instead, she picked the University of West Florida as the place for her academic endeavours. This did not mean, however, that Enitan Ekwotafia was ready to withdraw from sports. She briefly explored getting a teaching degree since she believed it would allow her to continue coaching. She ultimately decided to pursue an exercise science degree with the hopes of becoming a certified personal trainer in the near future. Her exercise science degree allowed her to learn the principles of exercise physiology, personal training, and nutrition.
