DIRECTOR
Hardly a day goes by that I don’t think about
my experiences traveling. From studying in
Copenhagen when I was 19 to spending a semester
in Paris, to the dozens of trips since.
I think about these moments often, because they
have shaped my life. I continue to learn new things
even as I travel today. I learn how to understand
different cultures, people, and environments. This is
why I travel with my young child: to ingrain a sense
of adventure and curiosity.
All of this is why I decided to start Panrimo: to
support your journey. To hopefully ingrain that same
sense of wonder, curiosity, and adventure that we
first experienced, and still do.
It’s your journey, we’ll take you there.

WHAT IT MEANS
Eons ago, the world was one land mass called Pangaea. Thanks
to land bridges, ancient travelers could go anywhere they
wanted on foot! Unfortunately, as Pangaea broke into separate
continents, traveling became more difficult. Panrimo reconnects
the world, making it easier for you to follow in your ancestors’
steps.
In fact, that’s what our name is all about: “pan” for Pangaea, one
world, and “rimo,” the Latin word for explore.
This is your journey, and we’ll take you there.

FAQ
APPLY AT PANRIMO.COM 11
Will my credits transfer?
Panrimo works directly with your home
institution to facilitate the transfer of
credit. All Panrimo host institutions
are internationally accredited schools,
which provide official transcripts
upon completion of your program.
Ultimately, transfer is dependent on
your home institution’s credit transfer
policies.
Does financial aid apply?
Yes. Panrimo accepts many forms of
financial aid, including but not limited
to: Pell Grants, Stafford Loans, and
PLUS Loans. Other financial aid and
scholarships may transfer, depending
on your home institution’s policies.
Panrimo strongly recommends that
students arrange appointments with
their university’s study abroad and
financial aid offices to begin the
transfer process.
Where will I live?
Panrimo selects housing locations
based on safety, proximity to the host
university, and access to both local
amenities and public transportation.
Full housing information will be
included in your final packet.
Can I room with a friend?
Yes, if your friend is participating in the
same Panrimo program at the same time,
then you can request to live together.
Be sure to alert your Panrimo advisor to
your housing request when you apply.
Do I need a visa?
Visa requirements vary by location and
program length. Please refer to our
visa page on the website for program
specific information.
Is airfare included in my program cost?
Airfare is not included in the program
cost, but to provide students access to
the lowest airfares available, Panrimo
partners with STA Travel. Visit their
website for airfares reduced for a
student budget!
Is there a minimum age
requirement?
All Panrimo program participants must
be at least 18 years of age at the start
of their program.
Are meals included?
Students participating in a homestay
are guaranteed two meals per day,
five days per week. Students opting
for apartments or residence hall
accommodations are responsible for
providing their own meals. All housing
options offer access to kitchens and
cooking utensils.
When will I receive my enrollment
acceptance letter?
Upon completion and receipt of all
required documents, your Panrimo
advisor will submit your enrollment
application to the overseas institution.
Your acceptance letter should be
received 2-3 weeks later.
When will I get my transcripts?
Transcripts will be mailed to your
university’s study abroad office 8-12
weeks after the completion of your
program.
Can I travel during my program?
Absolutely! We only ask that you
inform your Panrimo advisor of your
travel plans and dates if you plan
to leave the country where you are
studying.
12
FINANCIAL AID
Panrimo simplifies the process of
transferring your financial aid by
providing consortium and financial
aid disbursement agreements. These
forms state that the home university
will accept the courses you will take
overseas as applicable towards credit,
which in turn allows the transfer of
financial aid. Panrimo recommends
making an appointment with both your
study abroad and financial aid advisor
to discern which types and how much
of your financial aid will transfer.
In most cases, the following types of
financial aid will transfer to a Panrimo
program: Pell Grants, Stafford Loans,
PLUS Loans and Perkins Loans
The following types of financial aid are
transferable only according to your
home university’s policies:
Home University Grants, Home
University Scholarships, State Grants,
Loans, and 529 Plans
SCHOLARSHIPS
Panrimo offers thousands of dollars
in scholarships every year to students
participating in Panrimo programs.
You can apply and be accepted for
scholarships BEFORE submitting
your program application. Panrimo
scholarships are only applicable to
Panrimo programs.

Santa Reparata International School of Art is
comfortably set in downtown Florence, fusing
North American higher education expectations
and Italian intimacy and opportunity. SRISA was
founded in 1970 and has become a top design, art,
and language institution in Italy. The faculty all have

and when local artists come to guest lecture—often
bringing students out of the classroom and into
the field—learning is at its finest. Best of all, credit
transfer back to your home university is a breeze.
Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri evaluates
and provides course accreditation.

One of the premier universities of the world, the University of Edinburgh has
been at the forefront of education, literature, medicine, science, and language
almost from the moment of its founding in the 1500s. It was largely thanks to
the power and influence of the university and its educators that Edinburgh
was dubbed the “Athens of the North.” With 20 Nobel Prize winners among its
alumni lists, the academic reputation of this institution cannot be understated.
The University of Edinburgh owns much of Edinburgh’s old town, and the variety
of buildings runs the gamut from cutting edge facilities to ancient architectural
marvels. All are easily accessed by public transportation and surrounded by the
city’s busiest districts. Students will get the chance to study in the same halls
that Robert Louis Stevenson once roamed.

From studying in Copenhagen when I was 19 to spending a semester in Paris, to the dozens of trips since. I think about these moments often, because they have shaped my life. I continue to learn new things even as I travel today. I learn how to understand different cultures, people, and environments. This is why I travel with my young child: to ingrain a sense of adventure and curiosity. All of this is why I decided to start Panrimo: to support your journey. To hopefully ingrain that same sense of wonder, curiosity, and adventure that we first experienced, and still do. It’s your journey, we’ll take you there. PAUL GREEN FOUNDER, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Unfortunately, as Pangaea broke into separate continents, traveling became more difficult. Panrimo reconnects the world, making it easier for you to follow in your ancestors’ steps. In fact, that’s what our name is all about: “pan” for Pangaea, one world, and “rimo,” the Latin word for explore. This is your journey, and we’ll take you there. CONTACT US 237 N. • 11. APPLY AT PANRIMO.COM 11 Will my credits transfer? Panrimo works directly with your home institution to facilitate the transfer of credit. All Panrimo host institutions are internationally accredited schools, which provide official transcripts upon completion of your program. Ultimately, transfer is dependent on your home institution’s credit transfer policies. Does financial aid apply? Yes. Panrimo accepts many forms of financial aid, including but not limited to: Pell Grants, Stafford Loans, and PLUS Loans. Other financial aid and scholarships may transfer, depending on your home institution’s policies. Panrimo strongly recommends that students arrange appointments with their university’s study abroad and financial aid offices to begin the transfer process. Where will I live? Panrimo selects housing locations based on safety, proximity to the host university, and access to both local amenities and public transportation. Full housing information will be included in your final packet. Can I room with a friend? Yes, if your friend is participating in the same Panrimo program at the same time, then you can request to live together. Be sure to alert your Panrimo advisor to your housing request when you apply. Do I need a visa? Visa requirements vary by location and program length. Please refer to our visa page on the website for program specific information. Is airfare included in my program cost? Airfare is not included in the program cost, but to provide students access to the lowest airfares available, Panrimo partners with STA Travel. Visit their website for airfares reduced for a student budget! Is there a minimum age requirement? All Panrimo program participants must be at least 18 years of age at the start of their program. Are meals included? Students participating in a homestay are guaranteed two meals per day, five days per week. Students opting for apartments or residence hall accommodations are responsible for providing their own meals. All housing options offer access to kitchens and cooking utensils. When will I receive my enrollment acceptance letter? Upon completion and receipt of all required documents, your Panrimo advisor will submit your enrollment application to the overseas institution. Your acceptance letter should be received 2-3 weeks later. When will I get my transcripts? Transcripts will be mailed to your university’s study abroad office 8-12 weeks after the completion of your program. Can I travel during my program? Absolutely! We only ask that you inform your Panrimo advisor of your travel plans and dates if you plan to leave the country where you are studying.
  • 12. 12 FINANCIAL AID Panrimo simplifies the process of transferring your financial aid by providing consortium and financial aid disbursement agreements. These forms state that the home university will accept the courses you will take overseas as applicable towards credit, which in turn allows the transfer of financial aid. In most cases, the following types of financial aid will transfer to a Panrimo program: Pell Grants, Stafford Loans, PLUS Loans and Perkins Loans The following types of financial aid are transferable only according to your home university’s policies: Home University Grants, Home University Scholarships, State Grants, Loans, and 529 Plans SCHOLARSHIPS Panrimo offers thousands of dollars in scholarships every year to students participating in Panrimo programs.
