2. A QUICK INTRODUCTION
As you hear them saying, Finland is “that cold white country
somewhere in Scandinavia”. Well, for the most part. It gets pretty
cold in winter if you ask me…
But have you ever seen Finland in summer? If not, I’m here to
inspire you!
3. IMPORTANT INFO
• The capital of Finland is Helsinki, a lovely little city with a mind-
blowing architecture.
• The language they speak is Finnish, but I’m sure you’ll meet
many people speaking English, too.
• Some important words you definitely need to learn before you
go to Finland:
“Kiitos” – thank you.
“Minä tykkään todella paljon teidän maasta” – I like your country
a lot.
• It’s going to be pretty challenging if you’ve never studied
Finnish before. Moving on...
6. Helsingin päärautatieasema or Helsinki Central Railway Station is
the place you, as a tourist, will have to visit fairly often if you want
to see the real Finland and not only it’s capital. There are
hundreds of trains that are ready to go to any destination you
wish. Make sure you have a ticket and have a wonderful ride!
8. The city center is one of
the most beautiful places
in Finland. What attracts
people the most is how
quiet the place actually is.
Even when it’s crowded,
you don’t really feel it.
Isn’t it exciting for the
capital?
Here are the pictures I’ve
taken myself!
10. Sipoo is a little town
30 minutes far from
Helsinki. I’ve stayed
here in my friend’s
house and completely
fell in love. This is the
Finland you don’t see
in books. The nature.
The spirit. The
freedom.
11. Of course, it’s totally up to you when to visit this incredible place.
But I’m sure you’ll never forget the summer in this country once
you give it a shot.
The fresh weather, the smell of forest and the sea, calmness in
every sense of the word…
What else might a person need on a holiday?
