2. Camping… my stress reliever!
“I’d rather be camping!” When everyday life gets
hard and I become stressed, I often think to
myself, “I wish I was at the cabin.” Camping
brings my family together and is a healthy outlet
to let go of stress. Living in a city can bog a
person down with unneeded stress, and
camping is my hobby to release this stress. I
enjoy camping for many reasons and think
everyone should consider incorporating this
therapeutic hobby in their lives.
3. Why is camping is the perfect family hobby?
• Camping is a wonderful adventure.
• Camping is beneficial in helping people
overcome problems with everyday life.
• Camping creates lifelong memories.
• Camping strengthens relationships.

“Outdoor adventure activities are beneficial for
the personal and social development of young
people” (Roger).
Camping is an exciting way to incorporate
adventure; adventures are an exciting, and an
unusual activity

6. Camping helps to eliminate stress
• City life can be overwhelming
• It is a fresh breath of air to unwind in the
wilderness
• Nature as a way of sprouting epiphanies,
allowing people to understand the
important lessons in life.
• Nature helps melt the stress away, allowing
you to come back home rejuvenated.
7. Camping creates life long memories
• Moments created while camping are more
impactful and there is less outside
Influences.
• With less distractions and stress the
relationship can have undivided attention.
8. Camping strengthens relationships
• Camping promotes socialization
• “Camping with friends or family members
makes a unique experience. Keeping a
healthy and happy relationship, in addition,
can extend a person’s lifespan and delay
memory problems” (Wrobbins).
9. Strengthens families bonds
• If a family decided to stay
home for the weekend most
likely, they would have gone
their separate ways, doing
separate activities.
• Personally, I have seen my
families’ relationship grow,
because of the weekend
camping trips we take.
10. Camping itself can seem overwhelming to people
• However, with proper planning, the process will go a
lot smoother
• What to plan
• First, the best campsite or cabin to achieve their camping
goals.
• If possible, reserve a campsite site or cabin online
• Gathering the proper gear is the next step.
• Lastly, carefully plan the meals
• Keep in mind camping is in remote areas, try to not forget
anything, because running to the store to grab something
you forgot will not be easy.
11. Camping’s cost
• Another common misconception
associated with camping is the cost.
• Most of the supplies are a once time
purchase, and can be used to fulfill years
and years of camping.
• Considering camping lasts several days,
accommodates the whole family,
incorporates meals, as well as multiple
activities
12. I could not imagine my life without camping
• It is an important activity, which my family
has participated in for generations.
• Camping is versatile ranging from tents,
fancy cabins, to campers.
• If your family is looking for something new
exciting, therapeutic, refreshing, and
rewarding propose a camping trip.
