Academic Projects
Web Application to host 3D models – “Virtual UMB”
• Web development involves 3 tiers, Presentation tier, Business tier and Data tier. I am involved in all these
development phases. Application contains webpages that is developed using ASP.NET, HTML and CSS.
Application uses SQL server to store the data and uses Stored Procedures to retrieve data.
E-commerce Web Application
• I am the key person to design and develop homepage for this project. Involves 3 tiers development and used
ASP.NET to develop the application and SQL server to store the data and uses Stored Procedures to retrieve data

2. (database connection are done using Factory method).
Eye word Search – C++ Graphic Application.
This is C++ application; here letters are displayed in grid and uses Eye to control the cursor movement. This is achieved using a
special device for the eyes. We developed the application that works on Laptops that uses mouse to control the cursor movement
(cursor co-ordinates are recorded without any mouse clicks). I was responsible for handling the cursor movement; if the cursor stays
for some time on screen then the cursor co-ordinates are recorded. Depending on the co-ordinates values actions are performed.
Example if the cursor is on the navigation button for some time, then cursor co-ordinates are matched with button co-ordinates then
corresponding actions are performed.
• Used OpenGL library for graphics.
• Extensively used most of the Object Oriented programming concepts.
Major Coursework in Masters - Object Oriented Design and Programming (Java).
In this Course Work we had programming assignments and Projects that must be developed using Java.
• From this course work I got familiar with the several Design patterns - Factory Method, Façade, Decorator, Proxy,
Observer and its advantages.
• Also doing many project assignments on Threads and Multi-Threading task and handling them.
• Each of the assignments and projects are tested using JUnit Testing. Testing involves writing test scripts.
• Also code coverage is done using Emma code coverage tool. This involves line, branch and many more, we were
asked to maintain each assignment for at least 70% of code coverage.
• For each assignment we have to create class from scratch and should write test scripts and do JUnit testing, and also
we should do Code coverage tool.
• Building the java classes and creating the jar file, running the test scripts and creating code coverage report. This
process is automated by running the ant scripts (familiar with writing the ant scripts).
