1. 1. Meeting with Mr. Truong Gia Binh, chairman of the
Vietnamese technology company FPT Corporation
On February 13th, 2017, the Leaders of Dinh Tien Hoang
Institute of Medicine, led by Dr. Nguyen Van Lang, had a meeting
with Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, to
discuss about potential collaboration in the application of
informatic technology in medical research.

2. 2. Meeting with Leaders of Central Military Hospital 108
On February 13th, 2017, Leaders of Dinh Tien Hoang
Institute of Medicine and Professor Sulev Koks from University of
Tartu, Estonia, Director of EDUSHARE Project, funded by the
European Commission, had a meeting with the leaders of Central
Military Hospital 108, to discuss about potential research
collaboration and postgraduate training. After the meeting, the
Leaders of Dinh Tien Hoang Institute of Medicine and Central
Military Hospital 108 had a nice time enjoying the Lunar New
Year atmosphere in Hanoi.

3. 3. ISTEP, a project of DTHIM, supported students from Queensland
University of Technology during their study in Vietnam.
From February 18th to February 24th, ISTEP, a project of
DTHIM, in collaboration with Nutrition Club of Hanoi Medical
University, supported and assisted 10 students from Queensland
University of Technology. Along with academic activities, ISTEP
also held a seminar to exchange knowledge on physical activities
in Australia and Vietnam, as well as to present the Initiative on
Physical Activity Prescription (IPAPO) to the Australian students.

physical education class.

4. 4. Office of Dinh Tien Hoang Institute of Medicine at Hoa Lac Hi-
tech Park
The office of Dinh Tien Hoang Institute of Medicine at Hoa
Lac Hi-tech Park is ready for operation. Research groups from the
DTHIM who want to use the place for their
session/seminar/meeting/conference, at Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park
can contact the Institute’s office for detailed instructions.

5. 5. GOF Journal Club New Year Meeting
The New Year meeting of Osteoporosis – Fracture
Research Group was held in MonHue Restaurant, Pham Ngoc
Thach Vincom Center, with the participation of all members in
the group.
