Diane R. Cash is an experienced estate planning attorney who has been practicing
law since 1982. She is a certified specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law (The State
Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization) who has been named a “Northern California
Super Lawyer” by her peers for many years. She also has the highest rating (“AV- preeminent”)
in Martindale-Hubbell, a national lawyer directory.
She opened her own practice in March 1994 after nine years with one of San
Francisco's largest law firms. She started her career with three years at a small firm in Los
Angeles.
Ms. Cash's clients are married couples, domestic partners, individuals, corporate
and individual fiduciaries, and charities. She works with her clients to:

available, and (3) the current cost and future savings of various planning techniques; and then, to
work with the client to complete the full documentation needed to effectuate the client's plan.

Ms. Cash's professional and community service includes speaking engagements
about estate planning, board membership of legal non-profits (the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil
Rights (1999 - 2005) and the AIDS Legal Referral Panel (1995-2000)), and serving as president
of her daughter’s school’s Parent-Faculty Club (2008 to 2010). Ms. Cash received a Bachelor of
Arts in English literature, cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Pomona College in 1979, and a
Juris Doctor from the University of California at Berkeley (Boalt Hall) in 1982.
She is a member of the State Bar of California and its Estate Planning Section,
and of the Bar Associations of Alameda and San Francisco counties and their Probate and Trust
Sections.
