Basic Needs is a social entrepreneurship founded by Chris Underhill to help people living with mental illness or epilepsy and their families live successfully in their communities. Chris graduated from the University of London and worked in voluntary overseas experiences in Zambia that led him to focus his career on leadership, disability, mental health and appropriate technology. Millions of people living with mental illness are deprived of treatment, as mental health conditions affect over 450 million people worldwide or nearly 13% of all disease.
