Erika: Wehave another packed episode filled with events that are going on
around campus. Jeromehasthis past week’s sportsupdate. Lauren has our
weather outlook and Taylor is giving us a look in on what’s going on in world
news. Stay tuned because later wewill be letting you know how you can
become our guest host next week while Ryan is away!
Ryan: This Wednesday September 28th, TheCenter of ContemplativeStudies
is having its Grand Openingin the Ehringer Gym. From 10 to 3, you can attend
open workshopsthat includea taste of differentpractices from meditation,
tai-chi, yoga, and more. The ribbon cutting ceremony willbe taking place at 3
with free refreshmentsand a reception.
Erika: Also going down this Wednesday isthe start of the Global Hispanic
Film Festival at 7:30 PM in Mitchell 102. Every Wednesday from thisweek
untilOctober 26th will featurea film that will discussa widerangeof
unfamiliar realities concerningLatin America, Spain, North Africa, and Latinos
in the United States. This eventis free and open to the publicand appetizers
will be served at 7:15 beforethe film begins.
Ryan: This Thursday September 29th at 8 PM in the Sykes Ballroom is an
eveningwith To Write Love on Her Arms a non-profitmovementdedicated to
presentinghope and findinghelp for people struggling with depression. The
eventwill begin with a lecture from the founder followed by a Q&A.

hosting "A BalancingAct: Walkingthe Tightrope of Life” this Thursday
September 30th at 3 PM in the Sykes Ballrooms. There will be a discussion
panel with WCUalumnion work, school life, and balance. In addition to the
panelthere will be food and prizesif you bring your resume.
Erika: Comejoin SAC this Saturday September 30th for their first pizzacrawl
from 12 to 5 PM. Starting in the Sykeslobby you will travel to some of the
tastiest pizzaplacesin town: Amore, Benny's, Chris's, Lorenzo's, New Haven,
Riggtown, and Saucey's. Participants receive a free t-shirt and has the chance
to win prizesand of course get to eat pizzaat a discounted price.
