Recommendation for Mr. Debabrata Mondal
I have known Mr. Debabrata Mondal for around 6 years, during his involvement in different
research and implementation oriented projects at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, and I
am happy to recommend him for an appropriate position at the TCS Technology Labs.
During 2006–2010, Debabrata worked on several projects at ISI Kolkata, mainly related to the
development and implementation of statistical and computational methodologies with appli-
cation towards bioinformatics and human genetics. As far as I understand, He was primarily
responsible for designing, analyzing and implementing the statistical tools and related applica-
tion softwares.
In 2009, Debabrata had worked briefly in the field of Cryptography with one of my research
scholars, Mr. Santanu Sarkar. At the initial stages of this work, he implemented the LLL Al-
gorithm in Sage (an open source symbolic computation package primarily based on Python),
which helped the experimental aspects of the project. I was quite satisfied with his understand-
ing and analysis of the problem, as well as with the final implementation of the algorithm.
I feel that Debabrata is quite enthusiastic about research and he is a dedicated team player. His
keen interest to work in research and development in an innovative arena has influenced him
to apply to the TCS Technology Labs, and I recommend him for an appropriate opportunity.
