A Fox Diversion System eliminates expensive roofing
creating a more effective outdoor wash area. The
systems are fully automatic and are approved for use
(RR 5532) by the “City of Los Angeles, Department of
Building and Safety.
For over thirty years Fox has been developing and
manufacturing a range of stormwater diversion systems
designed to protect industries whose operations may
cause potential harm to the stormwater coarse and the
environment.
A Fox diversion system is the most effective control
device for any unroofed washdown area automatically
diverting wash water as well as the first flush (if required)
to treatment whilst allowing unpolluted rain water to
enter the stormwater network.
At the heart of the DD600 WASHDOWN SHUTDOWN
(WDSD) Diversion System is the Fox Demand Valve
that on demand hydraulically opens and closes the Fox
Diversion Valve located in the diversion pit. The DD600
WDSD System is designed to shut down the water
supply to the wash area in the event of a fault or when it
rains, preventing rain water from entering the sewer. The
WDSD system is fitted with an activation button located
on the controller, when activated the system is in standby
mode and ready for wash down to begin, the diversion
valve will still only open when water is demanded and
wash down starts, the system will shut down when the
stop button is pressed or the timer in the controller times
out (time out times vary from site to site).
