I’m a 20-year Coast Guard officer, and I’ve spent most of my career managing people & money, with extensive operational experience. I am currently privileged to serve as the Executive Officer of the Coast Guard Base in Honolulu, HI, where I manage over 300 people with a $10.5M annual operating budget. I am responsible for executing the daily business operations of the Base, including: HR, finance & accounting, procurement & contracting, IT, medical, facilities maintenance, naval engineering & industrial operations. In my career I'm particularly proud of the fact that I was one of the first responders to clean up the Deep Water Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010, in charge
