Dct gdansk awarded with the “teraz polska” title
1. PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Gdansk,
12th June 2012
DCT Gdansk awarded with the “Teraz Polska” title
DCT Gdansk, Poland’s largest terminal with over 50% market shares and the only
hub in Baltic Sea became the winner of “Teraz Polska”. The twenty second edition of
this national competition puts Polish brands, products and producers in competition
for the title of the best in their respective field to represent the highest quality Poland
has to offer. DCT Gdansk was awarded in the category of marine and inshore
transport services.
Since its creation DCT Gdansk has been raising the profits of the Polish ports industry
and introduced new, higher standards of the service level in Baltic Sea ports. For
many years Central-Eastern Europe and Poland depended on Northern-European
ports that collected customs duties and other taxes paid by Polish importers and
exporters. Thanks to DCT Gdansk the Polish container industry gained its own hub
port servicing the largest vessels in the world and reducing the land transportation
costs to the final destinations.
“We are proud to receive this prestigious award” says Boris Wenzel, DCT Chief
Executive Officer. “It is encouraging that our efforts are valued not only by our
customers and contractors but by independent business experts of ‘Teraz Polska’”.
Earlier this year DCT Gdansk was also awarded with the Solid Employer of the Year
2011 award. The terminal representatives will receive the statuette during the official
gala evening on 14th June 2012.
