The implementation of human resources management can leverage organization success, because it assists the project management to take advantage of those who own the knowledge in activities development: people. This study analyses and reviews the literature about human resources management, about how organizations can take advantage of their assets, through strategic management and acquiring them in competitive advantage to achieve companies’ goals. Human resource department has tools to engage their assets in planning and development process, encouraging innovation, discussions, assessing people performance and structuring possible organizations’ changes. It is possible to conclude that to manage employees’ satisfaction and to take care of their interests is essential to the organizations’ wellness and success, thus, when they are not satisfied, they can leave the company and look for competitors that do it, and take with them their knowledge, which is hard to transmit and absorb. Knowing that, companies try to sediment this assets, spreading it between the maximum number of people, even informally. Management of people take actions to conquest, to maintain and to retain companies’ employees in order to obtain, to develop and to provoke the knowledge inside the organization and, then, to have an advantage above its competitor. Therefore, human resource management becomes an important and a strategic ally in project management.
