2. The Mary Ward Center in Chicago
Angelo Consiglio, MD, maintains his private practice, Allergy Ear Nose &
Throat, Inc., in Key West, Florida, where he specializes in issues of the head
and neck. He continues to educate himself on new treatment options such as
balloon sinuplasty. Dr. Angelo Consiglio also supports a variety of charitable
groups, including the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
3. The Mary Ward Center in Chicago
The Sisters of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (IBVM) opened the Mary Ward
Center in Chicago in 1999. Through this center, the IBVM Sisters serve a diverse range
of people with economic disadvantages, providing education such as tutoring in
English as a Second Language (ESL), preparation for GED and citizenship exams, and
computer classes. The Sisters also head a variety of programs for spiritual growth,
including Mujeres de Luz, Women of Light, which offers women the opportunity to
discover their own gifts and dignity.
4. The Mary Ward Center in Chicago
The Mary Ward Center takes its name from the founder of the IBVM. Born in
1585, Mary Ward experienced many trials and tribulations, including religious
persecution, but courageously worked to provide support and education to
others, especially young women. Her dedication to following God's will for her
life and serving those around her led her to found the community known as the
Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
