The McKenzie River Trust is a nonprofit organization that has worked for over 25 years to preserve natural habitats in western Oregon. They depend on community funding and have transitioned to a membership-based model. Membership in the Trust means supporting their work to establish conservation strategies on private lands and monitor those lands to protect clean water, fish and wildlife habitats. Membership allows the Trust to expand their conservation efforts across the region to ensure protected natural areas for future generations.
1. Dear western Oregon resident,
For over 25 years, the McKenzie River Trust has partnered with
Oregon communities to protect and preserve the natural habitats that
make our region a truly special place to live. As a nonprofit
organization, we depend upon our local community for funding in
order to accomplish our conservation goals. Recently, we transitioned
into a new membership-based annual donation structure.
McKenzie River Trust membership means becoming part of an
organization committed to preserving western Oregon’s most
cherished natural resources. To accomplish our goals, we work
alongside willing landowners to establish preservation strategies for
their property. The Trust then monitors and protects these lands for
clean water, fish and wildlife habitat, and productive natural
landscapes. Membership-based support enables the McKenzie River
Trust to expand its conservation efforts across western Oregon.
We invite you to take pride in your commitment to Oregon’s
natural habitats by becoming a member of the McKenzie River Trust.
Membership demonstrates your dedication to western Oregon’s
irreplaceable natural landscapes. The work we do ensures that the
land and its conservation values will be protected for generations to
come.
