Well then. If you are truly interested in knowing a few little personal tid bits about my hum drum life, I guess the beginning is a good place to start. As you can plainly see from my baby photos, I was a very cute kid with mucho expressive character! Lol There is nothing wrong with being proud of your baby pics by the way. Especially if you are like me and need all the help you can get! Hahaha
These were the happiest moments in my life and oddly enough, the best memories I have.
Fact: I was born in Southern Texas where most of my family still “suffer” today. I am the oldest of five.
My father is German/ English and my mum loves to boast about her gypsy heritage….among many others. At age 6 my mum decided she wanted to spread her wings. She took my two little brothers and myself up North to Oregon territory. From that point forward my life spiraled downhill.
Here I am at three. I kinda looked like Shirley Temple. I was spoiled at that time with pretty clothes and a wonderful family. I love to reminisce about the grand adventures I had as a small child. I was very full of imagination and seemed to follow trouble.
Say cheese!
So……..I don’t have many pics from my younger years after about 4 or 5. Here I am, a teenage wanna be Paula Abdul. I really loved the 80’s! Can we go back?
Fact: I was born in to a very musical family and dreamt of becoming a singer from as far back as I can remember. I loved to make home videos with that SUV sized camcorder in the 80’s!
At 18 and 19. This was the age of hairspray and denim! Good times! This era was the absolute epic peak of great music in my humble opinion! Journey, Foreigner, REO, Styx, Eagles, ELO, Heart, The Cars……..need I say more?
Fact: I spent a lot of time writing and traveling back and forth to Texas as a teen.
As I got a little older my depression started to take ahold and I made some very poor choices, but one I will NEVER regret is becoming a mother. When my two oldest were little, I loved to write music and sing. In this pic I was at my grandfather’s messy recording studio, making my first and only album. It was fairly good for an amateur but I never promoted it.
Fact: I love to win, but I’m also a good looser! :D
I also love being a Mum! I had four beautiful children. Two boys and two girls…not in that order.
Changing diapers became second nature. I had my first two children and then, eight years later, just when I thought all was clear, I had two more! As much as I love them all, it didn’t do my figure any favors! Still, I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Happy family? I struggled with depression for most of my life and it really went rampant after I hit 30! After years and years of neglecting my mental health and fighting the illness on my own, I turned to medications for help. Wow! That was a HUGE mistake! If I only had the knowledge and experience I have today……oh, and maybe a place to go that could actually help me. Humm…………
We live and we learn, or do we?
More Facts: Seven is my favorite number! : Lavender is my favorite color. : Disneyland is my favorite place on earth, (I haven’t been very far). : I love to sing……ALL THE TIME! Especially in the shower where I can conduct an entire solo ensemble. : I can’t dance, but I try, and I have fun doing it. : I suffered from severe depression the majority of my life, which I hid behind a happy facade.
