INKOMPASS Turkey - A Philip Morris International Internship Program
2012 CIT application letter
1. Counselor-In-Training Application 2012
Greetings from Camp Bob!
I am very glad that you are interested in our Counselor-In-Training Program. We have worked very hard to
develop this program as it is our goal to have Camp Bob campers work their way towards this monumental
achievement from their first day of camp. The application may seem intimidating, but you wouldn’t consider
this program if you weren’t already willing to accept responsibility for yourself.
Camp Bob’s CIT program is designed to take only those campers who have shown the greatest benefit from
their time at camp. Also, the program’s focus is to develop the leadership potential that applicants possess so
that they may be future Camp Bob counselors. The program is small, highly competitive and only applicants
with the utmost maturity and self-control need apply.
Who can apply? You must be at least 16 years old by the time the CIT program starts, and not older than
17. If you are 18, please apply to be a Camp Bob Counselor.
What can I expect the program to look like? Though CITs are considered campers, the program offers
them a special look at the daily operations, responsibilities and issues that camp might experience any given
day. The program will focus on developing leadership skills and styles with practical practice that will help
the CITs to be beneficial members of the Camp Bob community. The first week will largely focus on training
for a camp and cabin environment. The second week will put the CITs in cabins where they will be expected
to assist staff, and lead certain activities.
Where will I stay? CITs will stay in cabins with campers and counselors so that they can experience cabin
life first-hand.
When is the program? The CIT program will begin on Friday, June 22, 2012 and conclude on Friday, July
13 2012. There is potential for those CITs who display superior maturity, talent and Camp Bob spirit to
return next summer for two weeks as a paid employee.
Why should I apply? Camp Bob’s CIT program is an outstanding opportunity for promising teens to
develop their leadership skills, test their aptitude and prepare themselves for the professional world. The high
level of responsibility that comes with the nature of this position gives our program participants a significant
advantage in competitive job markets and college admissions. It is an extremely rewarding and extremely fun
opportunity!
How do I apply? To apply, you will need to submit a completed application, three teacher/supervisor/
mentor references and a copy of your current high school transcript. Incomplete applications will not be
considered. All materials must be post-marked no later than April 29, 2012.
Thank you for your interest in becoming a CIT. We look forward to your continued success at Camp Bob.
Sincerely,
Christopher Desvignes
