I am currently employed by RAK Inspection as an Inspection engineer (UKAS RG2 Cat 3)/NDT
Manager and primarily work from the company’s Wilton site base. I ensure that inspection
of plant equipment & pressurised systems are examined in accordance with the Written
Scheme of Examination (under PSSR 2000) and are suitable for return or to continue in
service, such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, pipework & protective devices
covering petrochemical, Gas & Industrial Sites, while also coordinating and managing NDT as
per WSE requirement or client requests.

Experience
2001 to 2013 Oceaneering – Asset Integrity Branch Supervisor
My duties included the supervision and coordinator of Inspection work
scopes carried out during plant outages/projects. Liaise with clients for most
suitable technique to be used such as conventional NDT to specialist
techniques such as PEC, IRIS, Eddy current & Titanium Anodising to various
plant equipment and pressurised systems as defined in the written Scheme
of Examination, which also involved visual survey of pressurised systems,
which includes the recommendations for continued service of plant
equipment.
