It is important to carefully complete each application document sinceerrors can lead to mistakes on the CCC certificate, a CCC certificate which does not cover all variants (e.g., materials, supplier variants), or denial by the certification authority. Errors in the application documents may result in further costs, more work and/or problems with the import of products into China. If the part number changes frequently without changes to the product itself, it should be evaluated if the part number really needs to appear on the CCC certificate.

The test samples are subject to CCC.Imports of these test samples to China are subject to standard customs procedures which may cause delays or refusal.It is important to properly prepare and manage the shipping of the samples and to understand the customs formalitiesto insure a smooth passage. The audit is similar to an ISO audit, but also includes some CCC specific areas. The manufacturer is responsible for the proper planning and preparation for the audit.This includes the preparation in regards to Chinese regulations, assistance with visa application for the auditors and travel program (hotels, transportation, meals, etc.). For some products no certificate is needed and in other cases a CCC is needed, but the importer can apply for an exemption (before shipping) Before exporting to China it is important to check if any certification is required.
